At the World Indoor Tour final in Birmingham Birchfield were invited by British Athletics to field teams in the U15 age group.
Our young athletes took up the challenge and both boys and girls teams had excellent runs and broke the club record.
First off was the boys team, led off by Toreud Ansa-Eno who handed over the baton in first place to Cian MCCusker who extended the lead. Andrew Murray consolidated the team position and handed over to Dan Wood on the last leg who ran strongly to smash the club record and bring the team home in first place.
The U15 girls team was second but again broke the club record by three seconds. The team of Isabella Davies, Maylayah Jay, Imogen Jones and Audrey Asanto-Afoakwa ran really well and did the Club proud.
