The stories of great and famous Birchfield Harriers inspire the generations which follow, but the contribution of regular club athletes, coaches and members has sustained and developed the club since its formation in 1877. The achievements of both past and present club members underlie the continuing popularity and success of the club.
Since 1877 Birchfield Harriers, the club "of the people, for the people" has been the home of thousands of aspiring athletes, with almost 100 Harriers having represented their countries at the Olympic Games.
The team will gradually document the histories of not only some of the greatest athletes but also of those who have served in the wars of the 20th century and those whose contribution to club teams, coaching and administration is documented in the club archives.
