Following their success at the Loughborough Winter Throws meeting Craig Murch and Jess Mayho have been selected as part of an 11 strong team at the European Throwing Cup.
It was our field event athletes that led the way at the weekend at the Loughborough Winter Throws event and Vault Cardiff down in Wales. Elsewhere many of our athletes were representing their counties at the CAU Intercounties Cross Country Championships at Prestwold Hall in Lougborough and our masters were in action at the British Masters indoor championships.
Winner of the Heptathlon at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Kelly Sotherton is now taking on the role of Team Leader for England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Based in Birmingham Kelly who has trainined at the Alexander Stadium and competed there many times will now be in a new role there in 2022.
The British Indoor Championships were held in Glasgow last weekend and it was our ladies who were the stars of the show with two champions, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

As Storm Clara raged on Sunday our young athletes battled the elements and as a result of their dedication secured team and indivual medal positions.
