Two weeks after setting a pb of 16.89m in the Welsh Championships Adele Nicholl has improved on this mark with a throw of 17.17m at the NAL in Nottingham. She also had a throw deemed as foul further than this so there is much more to come.
After spending time with the GB bobsleigh squad, Adele returned to her shot put training in the summer and all the work she has been doing has certainly paid off. Her previous best prior to this season was 16.34m, so she has made great strides and in doing so has thrown the Welsh Commonwealth Games standard, so we hope to see her competing in her home stadium next summer.
