Knight Frank's Birmingham office attended the Alexander Stadium for their annual away day and had the opportunity to experience competing in a big stadium.
Coached by some of Birchfield's senior athletes the team, including javelin thrower, Greg Millar, sprinter, Alwyane Campbell and decathlete Matt Lee. they had the opportunity to try long jump, javelin, shot and sprint starts. It was a hot day but all those who attended had a fun time despite the aching muscles at the end of the day.
Many said they had learnt a great deal, some who did athletics at school agreed they had learnt more in an hour than they did in their whole time at school.
The day was finished with a competition which was hard fought and the winning team was presented with a cup.
