Olympic champion and life member of Birchfield Harriers, Dame Denise Lewis has been elected president of UK Athletics.
She takes over from former sprinter Jason Gardener, who has held the post since 2015. With two Olympics medals in the heptathlon, gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and securing bronze in Atlanta four years earlier, Denise has become a regular commentator on athletics on BBC.
