Cardiff Cross Challenge
The performance of the weekend came from Omar Ahmed who was second in the Cardiff Cross Challenge, with only two seconds separating him and the winner, Hugo Milner. This comes on the back of a number of top class run's from Omar in the road relays and his notorious first place in the Bristol Half when he thought he was running 10km but ran the half marathon and unfortunately was disqualified.
Sutton Park Half Marathon
Making his half marathon debut, Jason Benett secured a victory with a time of 1.12 24. An excellent start to his career at these longer distances and there is much more to come.
Oxford Half Marathon
Following her superb run in the London marathon only a few weeks ago, Chloe Richardson once more took to the roads to run the Oxford Half Marathon. She was the first woman home in a time of 1.16.36.
Also competing in Oxford running his first marathon was U20 Dominic Smith. He ran a strong race to finish in 10th place in a time of 1.15.03.
Weston Super-Mare Half Marathon
An interesting course involving a section on the beach saw another of our U20's Daniel Swain, run his first half marathon. Another athlete who has a promising future on the roads he finished second in a time of 1.14.23.
