It was the turn of our U20 and U23s to take on the best in the England Athletics Championships in Bedford last weekend.
It was a successful day for our sprinters as Alwyane Campbell took gold in the 100m and Valerio Duah was close behind to take the bronze medal. Both athletes ran personal bests in the final with Alwayne recording 10.35 and Valerio 10.45.
Valerio then capped an excellent weekend by winning the 200m the following day with Alwayne in 4th place.
Also bringing home a medal in the U23 competition was Olivia Jones who won a silver in the javelin with a throw of 42.55m.
Our final medalist was Matt Griffin who finished second in the U20 110m Hurdles, but only three hundreds of a second behind the winner.
