It was a very successful weekend in Sheffield for Birchfield as a number of our athletes claimed a podium place.
Pole vaulter Charley O'Neill kept up her winning ways by taking yet another titile. As part of the thriving pole vault group of Adam and Lizzie Lyons it was great to see her triumph once again.
There were more medals in the sprint events too. Dan Wood won his first national medal with a silver in the 300m, setting a personal best of 37.81. Jessica Duncton also took silver in the U20W 60m hurldes. In the 200m Thomas Bristol was third in the U17M race as was Isabella Davies in the U15G event. Both ran pb's with Thomas running 22.05 and Isabella 25.03. Precious Akpe-Moses made the final of the women's 200m.
A great weekemd for these young athletes and they are all now looking forward to racing outdoors and hopefully replicating these performances.
