Four medals for youg Stags at England Indoor Championships

It was the Englnd Athletics Indoor Age Group Championships at the weekend and our young Stags had a great weekend.

There were medals across the age groups at the England Athletics Indoor Championships in Sheffield and many personal best perfromances.

Leading the way was Charley O'Neill who took the U17W pole vault title with a winning height of 3.45m, just short of her personal best. Rhianna Burrell won the silver medal in the U20W high jump with a jump of 1.72m.

In the U15 age group there were two bronze medalists. Isabella Davies finished in third place in the 200m in a new personal best time of 25.96. This continued her successsful weekend as she also ran a personal best of 8.10 seconds in the 60m.

Ella Woods added to her medal tally from last year with a bronze in the U15G Long Jump, recording a jump of 5.60m. She also recorded a personal best in the 60m with a time of 8.09 seconds.

A number of other Stags were competing and showed some excellent early season form. In the U20m 60m Sean Brown-Webber (7.53 secs), Jack Forrest (7.53 secs) and Sam Griffin (7.59 secs) all ran personal bests in the heats.

U20 Tobie Watson, more used to the longer hurdles events ran his fastest ever race over 60M hurdles in a time of 7.95 seconds. Another of our U20's Finlay White also ran a pb in the 800m with a time of 1.58.88.
